Extending the same intuitive practice into direct encounter, the energy work approaches healing as attention, presence, and care. Grounded in an inherited mystical lineage and a daily contemplative practice, it moves between Reiki and mediumship — offering clearing, witnessing, and channelled image and language. Themes of transformation, vulnerability, and the search for meaning carry through here as elsewhere.
A practice of energy and attention. Certified in the Usui Ryōhō tradition as Master and Teacher, the work offers gentle, focused clearing — distance and in-person — grounded in a living lineage.
Witnessing as image and as language. Through readings and channelled pieces — a drawing, a poem, a page made with you in mind — the work attends to memory, presence, and what asks to come through.
Sasha Torchinsky is a queer, Jewish artist and writer, born and raised in Vancouver — on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
Working between abstraction and figuration, they paint and write from a single source — images and language emerging through accumulation, erasure, and rediscovery. The poetry has been recognised nationally and internationally and is gathered now into a full-length collection, Notes From a Dream Body; the paintings stand beside it as equals.
As a certified Usui Ryōhō Reiki Master and Teacher and a working medium, they carry the same attention into energy work and channelled art and writing — a practice threaded through an inherited Hasidic mystical lineage and a daily Kabbalistic devotion.
They live and work in Vancouver, between the studio, the page, and the communities they organise with.
